Grand Master & First Lady present check for $10,000.
At the District #1 annual meeting, on March 3, 2017, Most Worshipful Grand Master Todd Jones and his wife, Laura the First Lady of Masonry, presented a check for $10,000 to Roger Barnett, PGM, SGIG in Kentucky for the Scottish Rite “Rite Care” centers in Kentucky. The money was raised from the sale of the Grand Masters “Raccoon on a Mower” lapel pin. The money will be divided between the four Scottish Rite Foundations to be used for their Rite Care Language Centers. The Grand Master and First Lady also donated $900 to the Scottish Rite from the sale of the First Ladies “Our Kids, the Rite Care Kids” lapel pin. The First Lady’s pins are for sale throughout the year, and can be purchased at the District Meetings, or from any District Deputy Grand Master and Grand Lodge Officers. The “Raccoon on a Mower” lapel pin was a limited addition of 500 only, and was such a success that no more pins are available. On behalf of the Scottish Rite Freemasons of Kentucky and all the families that this program will benefit, I want to give a big THANK YOU to our Grand Master Todd Jones, and his Lady Laura Jones for their dedication and support of our Rite Care Centers. And to each of you who have supported this program, and hopefully will continue to support, a big THANK YOU as well
